Of the Captain variety, that is. Looks like they got a director and plan to release the movie in 2011. Also on the slate: "The Avengers" (duh), and "Thor". I'm curious how they'll do Thor... that should be interesting. The best part of the CA movie: it's going to be set in WWII. The Cap fucking up Nazis? yes please! |

| Eberron |
Third time's the charm. I've once again delved into my single favorite D&D setting, easily one of my favorite fantasy settings of all time. Bought up six more books on the setting and have been working my mind overtime on my campaign again. Should be starting up a session in a couple weeks with Poke, Stella, Jim n Kate. Jim and Kate are new to D&D on the whole, and they're both a little uneasy about actual face to face roleplaying, but I think they can do it. I'm hoping to finally get this game off the ground as I've been working on its intrigue and backstory for something like three years now. And while I'm at it, a big 'ol NUTS to D&D4.0. The pox on it and its family. No druid? GTFO of town sir. Good day.
Cross your fingers for Hans' Eberron Campaign revision 3.0.0. >.<

 ahem. WHY THE FUCK DIDN'T ANYONE KIDNAP ME, GAG ME, PRY MY EYES OPEN, SIT ME THE FUCK DOWN AND MAKE ME WATCH THIS MOVIE BEFORE!? IT'S ONLY ONE OF THE SINGLE BEST MOTHERFUCKING MOVIES OF ALL TIME. seriously wtf? This movie was phenomenal. The combination of nearly flawless single-timeline time travel (save for the voice mail recordings) and a truly epic mind fuck of whether or not Cole was actually insane made for one of the most compelling and amazing stories I've ever witnessed. Wow, just... wow. If you haven't seen this movie yet,

In other news, here's some actual news about me lately: I stopped playing wow a little over six weeks ago (OMFGZ!?) and have also been working out and dieting for the same amount of time. (OMFGZx2!?!?) So that's kinda weird and crazy and strange and weird. But, hopefully I can lose weight and get buff and impress the ladies. (lulz.) I bought a bike and a gym membership with stella (maybe he'll actually go with me once in a while...) and so far it seems to be going well.
I've also dusted off the remains of what can only be described as a 'life' since then, (doing stuff? wot?) in that I'm hanging out with people more and leaving the apartment now and then. One of my managers at work turns out to be really cool so I hang out with him a lot. Also been hanging out with a cool chick from the jewel deli who likes anime and killing hookers in GTA4, so that's winsauce as well.
Gaming wise I've kind of migrated over to the xbox360, mostly playing GTA4 and rock band which are bitchin'.
The anime scene is still kinda bleak. Getting by on Bleach still and digging up some oldies of late.
Indy 4 was pretty sweet, I personally liked the twist. It's my scene. Better than that was Iron Man though. I'm pretty psyched now that Marvel has creative control over the forthcoming Marvel movies. Hellz yeah.Labels: internet, life |
