Blog ker-splosions!
Another blogger joins the community: K8!! She's old school, so read her stuffs and say hi 'n junk. Hi k8!

In other news, here's some actual news about me lately: I stopped playing wow a little over six weeks ago (OMFGZ!?) and have also been working out and dieting for the same amount of time. (OMFGZx2!?!?) So that's kinda weird and crazy and strange and weird. But, hopefully I can lose weight and get buff and impress the ladies. (lulz.) I bought a bike and a gym membership with stella (maybe he'll actually go with me once in a while...) and so far it seems to be going well.

I've also dusted off the remains of what can only be described as a 'life' since then, (doing stuff? wot?) in that I'm hanging out with people more and leaving the apartment now and then. One of my managers at work turns out to be really cool so I hang out with him a lot. Also been hanging out with a cool chick from the jewel deli who likes anime and killing hookers in GTA4, so that's winsauce as well.

Gaming wise I've kind of migrated over to the xbox360, mostly playing GTA4 and rock band which are bitchin'.

The anime scene is still kinda bleak. Getting by on Bleach still and digging up some oldies of late.

Indy 4 was pretty sweet, I personally liked the twist. It's my scene. Better than that was Iron Man though. I'm pretty psyched now that Marvel has creative control over the forthcoming Marvel movies. Hellz yeah.

Ninjas, Emotions, and Nuclear Weapons.
So I get into the queue to join a group for Maraudon. Arlach does, I should say. And I get into a group with another paladin, a warlock, a priest, and someone else. Basically the paladin and warlock turn out to be friends and morons to boot. The priest leaves, and so does the other guy. Finally, some level thirty-three priest joins the group. By this time I was soloing some elites on the purple side outside the entrance to the actual instance. For some reason they wanted me to come help them summon this level thirty-three, so I said screw that. They booted me, and I queued up for another group.

Eventually I ended up getting a group with a druid, a rogue, a mage, and another priest. We finally headed in, orange side, and started to get it underway. Long story short, this group was amazing. The druid was bear tanking and was doing a damn good job. We cleared out orange, dipped back into purple for the Celebrian Diamond, and finished up sceptres for myself and some of the other folk. We kept goin' in purple, and were just before the bridge to the princess when the rogue and mage had to take off. So, we managed to nab up a warrior and another mage. Finished off the princess, hopped down to rotgrip, and proceeded towards the goblin.

Let me expand a bit here. I've been hitting Maraudon with Arlach for no other reason than to get him a particular sword that drops from this goblin. The goblin is literally the absolute last boss in the whole damn place and if you start way over in orange like we did, it's a long fuckin' haul. By now, with all the switching and waiting and bullshit, it has probably been four or five hours that I've been in here.

We kill the goblin, we get some crazy adds, the goblin dies, then we die. He didn't drop the sword, but he did drop the other thing I want from him. A shield that is obviously pally loot. It has intellect and mana regen. So I say, hey, I'll just need that since we're dead and done anyways. I click need. The warrior says "so will I." so he clicks need, and wins. Sigh. The moral of the story is that ninjas and/or dumbasses suck.

So that's done, and now I head on over to the internets to see what I can see. Over on andy's blog I see a new video he posted. I watch it, and I am soon enraptured by its content. An in depth look at the Hiroshima bomb. Interviews with survivors, moment by moment descriptions, and a rendered reconstruction. Basically, it helped me grasp the awesome power of an atomic weapon. If this video didn't make you feel somber and thoughtful, you didn't understand the implications.

Let me say this. That type of weapon, in a heavily civilian-populated area, is mass murder. It's not a strategic military objective, it's not an acceptable loss, it's not necessary, and it's not right. People died because the leaders of their country did some bad things. Let's say I live in zone Q. I'm a regular dude, pay my taxes, do my job, heed john Q. law. Zone Q fucks up land X. I don't know why. I was born in zone Q. I live here, I do what I gotta to live happily. Joe Schmo, from land X, comes to my house and shoots me in the face, because my country fucked up his. Does that seem right to you? Cuz it don't seem right to me. Not one bit.

"You're fucking kidding me."
But she wasn't. I'm a little dazed, to tell the truth. Ok, I'm not making any sense. I haven't told anyone about this girl yet. I really wasn't going to. But she called me, not 15 minutes ago. "I'm pregnant."

Hence the title. I'm torn. This is good... I like her. But, I can't bloody afford this. I don't think I can even afford an abortion. I've never wanted to raise a child without having the means. Jesus Christ. I'm not fucking sure what to do. I think I'm going to go to sleep.

Fuck.

Well, I have moved all my crap out of my uncle's place and into my new room over on Ogden and whatsit. I will be heading back there shortly in order to organize 400 sq. ft. of stuff into my 10 by 10 room. It will be excellent.

Anyways, there is not internet there yet, so I will not be online in any fashion for a bit. Once I am though, it will be with a fiery vengeance, as I stated below.

I find the similarities between my reemergence and jesus' resurrection to be eerily similar. Anyways, see you all in hell.

doing dishes

dishes
Originally uploaded by JavaBomberman.
An action I will be taking shortly. So, what's up with doing dishes? According to dictionary.com, to "do the dishes" is to "wash the plates, glasses, and silverware used at a meal. For example, If you walk the dog, I'll do the dishes."

Well, I certainly will not walk the dog, so off to the sink I go. This is not completely satisfying, however. Let's dig deeper. According to Wikipedia, dishwashing can be performed on objects other than the common dish. Apparently, "cleaning, eating, and cooking utensils" can be cleaned using this process as well.

It seems my task has become more daunting. I have expanded the range of items that I must wash fourfold. This is disturbing. Let's see what else they have to say.

The procedure for washing dishes (we'll use this term, though now it can refer equally to dishes, kitchen utensils, glasses, and cups.) seems not to follow a standard. Instead, "the right way to wash dishes by hand is typically a tradition passed directly from parent to child." This is most fortunate, as I still remember the teachings of my mother on this subject. Perhaps I can conquer this task after all.

The preparation for washing dishes seems to require a few items. They are as follows:
1. A sink
2. Water (preferably hot, from the tap)
3. Detergent (a liquad soap product)
4. A brush or sponge (preference or availability will determine the choice)

I seem prepared. I have hot running water, a sink into which it flows, a kitchen sponge, and ULTRA PalmoliveĀ® Spring Sensations: LEMON GROVEā„¢ Antibacterial Hand Soap, a concentrated dish liquid.

Well, I shall have at it then, with new resolve. The internet has convinced me that I can accomplish this task with minimal error and ample confidence.

Away!

"The time has come," the walrus said.
Well, time flies when you've lost your mind. It seems I am no longer living in an apartment with Jimmy. As I look around, I notice a cat that is familiar. She lived with me once, some time ago. She lives here now, but I don't. I see a large fish tank with a variety of fish. They are pleasing to the eyes. I hear the movements of a trio of rats, caged. They requested sunflower seeds, but I got them some other type of seeds, small and white and oblong. I believe they like them just fine. The contents of two bags and a laundry basket make up my belongings, save for some delicious coconut butter cookies from Nature's Best. I recommend them highly at only $1.89. The rest of me is waiting in an uncle's living room, stagnant. I will wait about twice again as long as I've waited so far, and perhaps live with a man named Eric. He is a salesman/stock guy. He is payed far less than he deserves, as most of us would claim. Perhaps when that time comes, I will emerge again into the scene with a fiery vengeance. I feel I owe it to my people, and the people of other people. Look for me again someday soon, I may be closer than you realize.

The Life and Times (a recap)
What on earth have I been doing lately? Well, I've come back to good 'ol Illinois, and Westmont to boot. I returned in mid-June and live with the insanity known as Jimmy. I also live with his girlfriend, MK, and another strange girl creature, Nicole. Here is a numbered list of my goings-on in the past 2 months or so:
  1. Worked for sugarloaf out here, was transferred from the Iowa office. Fired a week ago Friday for "not enough time on route." They can take the 12 hours a day they wanted me to work and shove them up someone else's ass. They probably have.
  2. Had many apartment antics. Lesbians revealed, mexicans kicked out, etc. I mostly watch from the sidelines. With a camera.
  3. Watched Jimmy try to find work. We laughed, we cried. He just started a carpenter's apprenticeship yesterday, and it should work out. Strangely, I started as well... but didn't go back, as we found out that putting the same name for my sponsor as Jimmy was perhaps not a good idea. People were angry. I will hide.
  4. Made many a new friend: Riddice, Dave, and Kyle. Started hanging out with Mike again. Poke's always around. Though now he's away, he will return. Pete's been around a lot too. Also gone right now. Soon, school will suck them all up and times will probably be boring. Even been back in touch with the Admiral! Good times.
  5. Been playing games constantly. Munchkin, A Game of Thrones, Risk 2210, Age of Mythology. I rule and win constantly.
  6. Went to Mitsuwa, a Japanese market in Schaumburg. Friggin'... awesome. Spent more money than I had, didn't mind. Real Japanese food... *salivates*
  7. Watching neet stuff on TV. Digital cable rawkz my world. BSG ftw.
  8. And of course, much much anime is had and watched. Had a weekend scare when the PC crapped out on me. Did many magics and rituals and got her back online. *huggles*

And so, that's the that on that. I also changed my hairdo as per the will of Girlfriend (of Josh & Girlfriend fame). If I've forgotten things, you'll get over it. It's probably time for new anime reviews. Better have at it.

Smooth Over Everything
Well. It's nearly moving time. I'm making my escape from Iowa on Thursday. Here's the weird part: Everything seems to be working out. I know, right? What's that all about? I'm waiting for something to go wrong. So far though, it's like pie.
  1. Jimmy got the place. Supposedly a nice three-bedroom two full bath place. sweet.
  2. Jimmy got money. Huh wuh!? Yep, it happened. And the two girls have money too.
  3. My job has been transferred. And I'm getting a raise!? ok, fine!
  4. I just called my uncle... and he's like, "borrow money? oh sure, when will you be by?" so I was like... "... uh " Is borrowing money usually that easy? *boggles*

So... great! I'll take it. In other Jimmy news, I have learned a valuable lesson. Always be careful when banging your girlfriend from behind in a very fast fashion. Things might go in places that will leave you without a happy girlfriend for a few days. But always be sure to call people and tell the story.

blog beta v0.1
first post! woot!

Hello, this is my blog. I will be putting some stuff here. I will list some of this stuff.

  1. Anime stuff. If anime could sustain life, I would be immortal. Maybe I am... *ponders on this*
  2. World of Warcraft stuff. I may breathe more than I play this game, but probably not. Second only to anime, for now. (and like... eating and sleeping, I guess.)
  3. Anime stuff. Did I say this already? too bad.
  4. Counter-Strike stuff. maybe.
  5. Random stuff. Like, whatever. Burger King mints are good.
  6. Music stuff. Listening to, playing. (I heart classic rock, j-pop, and playing my Rickenbacher bass. Her name is Vespa. Drums too, sometimes.)
  7. Gaming stuff. Soon, I'll be back in downers grove, illinois. Hometown excitement. Anyways, much exalted and dungeons & dragons will ensue.
  8. Jimmy stuff. I will be living with Jimmy again, and there will always be something he's doing that's worth a good laugh. or a gasp. or a painful stab in the throat.
  9. Anime stuff. choke on it.
  10. Movies and sci-fi stuff. Firefly and Battlestar Galactica anyone? hawt. and star wars, duh.
  11. Possibly, possibly work stuff. Though I can't imagine this being very entertaining.
  12. Other friend stuff. Andy; where's Todd?; Josh and the GF; poke; the admiral; k8 and mr. sir, Stella and gaming krew.
  13. ANIME STUFF. god.

List complete. These are in no particular order. If I forgot something, just remember, this is beta.
