Thank you, Jones soda. |
Pretty good looking girl, wouldn't you say? I would agree. But, do have a read of this.
A message with the photos, surely not written by the girl, begs the Chinese to "stop these anti-Japanese hijinks" since "if you don't, I won't like you anymore." quote from Japan Times.

I'm going to jail.

Hey, what does furi kuri mean anyway? |
I don't know. "comon, you hafta know! The main character always knows stuff like that!" What is this? Who cares about furi kuri anyway.
Who are you really? "I'm an illusion of your youth, a manifestation of the feelings in your adolescent heart!"
"Legs spread, same width as the shoulders. Body tight, then hit the ball like you're defeating the enemy. Here, the pinky finger is the key. And then you just hit, hit, hit. Ka-kin! Bingo!" What are you talking about? "He who conquers the left side conquers the world, chief."
"Never knows best."
How much do you like him? "Watermelon, or like a panda with a mean face. Or like sandals with pressure points drawn on them. Or the smell of a blackboard eraser. Or a sunday morning where you wake up and it's raining. Well, I like him more than hard bread."
"Hmm... you're scared even though your brain is missing."
When you act selfish like that, bad things are bound to happen you know. "Oh well, I'll have to deal with the bad things then."
Every day we spend here is like a whole lifetime of dying slowly.
"I was watching Taro-kun who was making out with a high school girl." "Fondling her yum-yums?" I told you I'm not Taro! "Fondling her cupcakes!? Who's this slut you're fooling around with? Huh? Huh!?" Mamimi! We were down at the river! "Really? Mamimi?" "I bet she does it like a weasel! She's cursed I tell ya!" "Ah, your brother is away so she's sinking her fangs into you, Naota!? Fondling around... fooling around! Fooly Cooly! ... What's fooly cooly?" How should I know!? I'm still in grade school! You think I'm that crazy!? "ha-haaaaaaa.... ha-ha-haaaaaaaaaaaa..... That's what it is. Naota's gundam hammer. It's that Tomino-esque thing. Saying it's gundam, but basically it's giant-robot anime, right?" I don't know what you're talking about! "Nao's just like me, so he must be doing it. I know he's doing it! Doing, doing it! Fooly coolying!" "I see! Pretty impressive, little bro." "So what do you think, Haruko-san?" "Whadya?" "Oh, cooly cooly? Like that?" "Cool-aid?" "Not like curry powder aphrodisiac licked off my desk." "Death?" "It's this kind of cooly cooly... new modality." "Noodle?" "I mean like MTV!" "Empty?" "Oh, former assistant editor-in-chief, I didn't know you had such a lovely young wife! ooo hoo hoo hoo! Cooly cooLY! YEAH! It's kind of a... cooly cooly dream thing!" "Yeah, cooly cooly is.. you do it like this, with your hands, see?" "oh, right... I'm already in that kind of relationship with Ta-kun here." "Relationship!? How do you mean!?" "Mouth-To-Mouth."
Nothing amazing happens here. Everything is ordinary.
"There, under your hood, is it furi kuri again?

A little Counter-Strike |
Well today I partook in a friendly CS league. What might this be? Well, first, counter-strike is a first-person shooter that I've been playing for many years. It's a counter-terrorism modification for the game Half-Life (one of the best games that has ever existed, and probably ever will.). At any rate, now it's counter-strike: source. Basically, it's CS 2. Better graphics, etc.
The league took place with the Gamers Coalition folk that I've been playing CS with now for... quite a few months. (Their site is linked in my links.) It was a 4 vs. 4 match, and unfortunately we lost 14-16. I must admit I did pretty well though. For the first half I pulled about a 22-11 score or so. Second half I didn't do so hot, but we managed to get some wins near the end. Check out the standings and whatever else you want to here.Labels: games |

Naruto - 137 |
Well! Naruto episode 137. I have to say, I am both relieved and excited. "Relieved, Hans? Whatever for?" Well, honestly, the last set of episodes really dragged on. I had hoped Naruto wouldn't come to that, but for a fleeting moment... I had visions of Dragonball Z. *shudders*
I jest, it wasn't nearly as slow. And I love Dragonball Z...
Anyways, we have Naruto, Jiraiya, and Sakura headed out on their quest to find Sasuke. Jiraiya, of course, amuses me to no end with his perverted ways. I am curious to see more Naruto action against these new Orochimaru-guarding-ninja that are after Sasame. (And comon.. who didn't know that was a girl last episode? pfft.. @naruto)
Well, things are looking up anyways. Ano-sa, ano-sa!!

Futakoi Alternative |
Futakoi Alternative. Another anime. A strange anime. It's cute, funny, bizarre, and makes you go, "huh? oh.."
A bit of backstory: First there was a show called Futakoi. If you break that apart and translate it, you get "Twinlove", basically. What was it about? Well, twins... and... love. Anyways, it was about a boy who returned to his hometown after being gone a few years. The town was... full of twins. He had cute and cuddly adventures anime style with different sets of twins. It was mushy and cute in your classic anime relationship style.
Well, now there's Futakoi Alternative. They took the same sets of twins from the first show... and put them in wholly new and strange settings. The same girls who, in the first series, were just typical silly 8-10 year old girls, are now a pair of gun-wielding secret service girls fighting strange blob monsters on a large cargo jet. While it's flying. The story revolves around one of the lesser pair of twins (in the first show) and a completely new male lead, Rentarou. They are detectives... and random, random things occur. It's simply... bizarre. As an example, the ending sequence is done completely in claymation.
So, of course, I love it.

Smooth Over Everything |
Well. It's nearly moving time. I'm making my escape from Iowa on Thursday. Here's the weird part: Everything seems to be working out. I know, right? What's that all about? I'm waiting for something to go wrong. So far though, it's like pie.
- Jimmy got the place. Supposedly a nice three-bedroom two full bath place. sweet.
- Jimmy got money. Huh wuh!? Yep, it happened. And the two girls have money too.
- My job has been transferred. And I'm getting a raise!? ok, fine!
- I just called my uncle... and he's like, "borrow money? oh sure, when will you be by?" so I was like... "... uh " Is borrowing money usually that easy? *boggles*
So... great! I'll take it. In other Jimmy news, I have learned a valuable lesson. Always be careful when banging your girlfriend from behind in a very fast fashion. Things might go in places that will leave you without a happy girlfriend for a few days. But always be sure to call people and tell the story. Labels: life |

Bleach! |
Bleach. An anime. A great anime. I just watched episode 34 and thought I'd share my thoughts about the series. Here's the lo-down:
Bleach is set in modern times. The characters seem pretty normal from the start, teenagers and school and whatnot. The twist? Spirits are everywhere. Many souls hang around in the material world, for good... and for bad. And some people... can see the spirits. Ichigo, our red-headed hero is one such person. The good spirits tend just to need some guidance. The bad ones though... they need something a little more "persuasive". Namely, a sword or two to the skull. Luckily, there's a group dedicated to doing just that. The shinigami, or death gods. These are souls who have such great spirit power, they are able to combat the naughty spirits, called Hollows, roaming around the material world. They reside in a place where all souls go, called Soul Society.
Well, through these episodes we see the adventures of Ichigo, a normal kid with some massive spirit power; Rukia, a Death God girl who gets mixed up with Ichigo due to some nasty Hollows, and other various characters who are all very interesting and developed throughout the episodes.
This show is great if you love gut-bustin' intelligent comedy mixed with fast paced ghost-slayin' (who doesn't!?), a great deal of character drama, and big nasty 'ol swords! And the music is rockin' too!!! So WTF!? Check it out damnit!

pink, ya like that? |
World of Warcraft. It is a game. A massively multiplayer online role-playing game. It is not run by nazis. Anyways, I play it. A lot. I play on Earthen Ring, an RP server. That means you should be role-playing more than not. It's a loose rule... but generally I love RPing. I have a level 60 night elf druid there, Sylen. I also have many alternate characters: Arlach, level 22 human paladin; Kairi, level 26 human warrior; Sylenin, level 20 human mage (haha, I play with a good friend of mine from back home, and his main character is a level 60 Paladin named Bachstail. Anyways, he decided to make a character; Bachstalin. So, I made Sylenin. We fight for the people. heh...); Gilberin, level 12 gnome warlock; Airelia, level 19 night elf rogue. I also have a few on horde side: Lythak, level 10 tauren druid; Molvoch, level 18 orc hunter; Chromax, level 5 undead warlock. I also did a stint with my friends on a PvP server, and have Corinth, level 32 tauren warrior and a level 9 troll rogue, Kydharin. At any rate, I have come up with a lot of backstory involving these characters and the other characters run by my friends on the server. For example, Arlach and Bachstail were childhood friends, along with Isthian who is run by another of our friends. Isthian and Kairi are siblings. Jim (the friend playing Bachstail) and I have written some stories about these characters and their adventures through the warcraft storyline. It's bunches of fun. For example, here's a story I wrote about Arlach for his introduction:
Arlach, Teller of Tales
Arlach awoke in a dripping sweat. His mouth was dry, and his eyes were pained from the dry air. He blinked and swallowed, finding both actions more painful than usual. He sat up slowly, surveying his surroundings. As he looked around the single-candle lit room, he furrowed his brow. Where am I? The thought occurred to him. Furthermore, how did I get here? He stared at the candle, its light bouncing about happily, but it didn’t give him any answers. He sighed.
A door opened suddenly. Arlach turned and squinted as he faced a man in long robes and a burst of light from the doorway.
“Ah, you’re awake.” The man walked quickly to the side of Arlach’s bed. He handed Arlach a large goblet with liquid. Arlach took it, realizing his desperate thirst. He drank feverishly of the offered water, finishing it quickly.
He took a deep breath, relieved. “Where am I?”
“You are in the care ward of Northshire Abbey. I am a cleric…” The cleric held a hand up as Arlach motioned as though to ask another question. “and no, we don’t know how you got here either. We found you outside, wounded something fierce. I was hoping you might have some answers for us.”
Arlach turned and furrowed his brow again. What do I remember last…? He pondered for a moment.
Arlach had grown up in Southshore. As a boy, he trained with his best friend Bachstail to fight the orcish hordes’ invasion of Lordaeron. The boys were thrown into battle as early as twelve years old, as the orcish invasion was swift and strong. During their first engagement, Arlach was captured. He would surely have been killed, except within the orcish ranks was an orc that Arlach had befriended as a younger child. Arlach’s orcish friend kept him from being killed in the orc camp. Arlach was a great musician and the orcs loved hearing him play his lute. For six years Arlach was a captive in the orc camp. Arlach was set free after this time, and made his way back to Southshore. He reunited with Bachstail, and was able to live in relative peace in his hometown for nearly eight years. During this time, he trained more in the ways of archery and animal taming. He and Bachstail also opened a tavern, and he bartended. He found great joy in listening to the patrons. He did not wish to fight the horde or the undead, as Bachstail seemed intent on doing. He knew his time was short before Bachstail would leave for battle. Tensions were rising as the horde was once again gaining power. Near the end of these eight years, there was talk of the Burning Legion returning as well. Arlach finally decided that he would follow Bachstail in the inevitable war. Before he did so, he also decided he would confess his love for a girl he had been admiring secretly for most of these past eight years. On the eve before he would confess, he met a man named Terikk while sitting in the forest, writing in his journal.
Arlach blinked. He frowned. The last thing he remembered was clear now… he had taken food offered to him by the stranger Terikk. He had eaten the food. He remembered being unable to move… and tasting blood just before losing consciousness.
“I… well I was poisoned I think. I was about to head to Lordaeron to aid the alliance against the new horde and the coming of the Legion. In fact, I should probably be…”
The cleric was taken aback. “Head to Lordaeron…?” His look was grim. “Lordaeron was lost… nearly six years ago.”
Arlach furrowed his brow at the cleric, taking in the information. He looked down at his hands, his arms. I’m older… He sat, staring at his hands for a time.
The cleric stood up. “I’ll... give you some time. Is there anyone who might be able to help you? Someone you know…?”
“Bachstail.”
Arlach was able to be reunited with Bachstail, once again. He realized that he had indeed lost six years of his life. Arlach was unsure of what had become of him during that time. He decided it was best not to ponder it greatly. Arlach resumed his playing the lute, but also during his time with Bachstail and the clerics of Northshire Abbey, began training as a paladin. He found himself less close with Bachstail, as he had once again lost time with his friend. However, Bachstail had an inn that was run by his guild, the Sons of Avatar. Arlach once again became a bartender, and found solace in this. Now, his training as a paladin very often comes second to his love for bartending. Arlach loves hearing the stories of the people, and enjoys telling stories of his past adventures in the forests of Hillsbrad. With his lute and an apron, he is able to forget his troubles and lend his ear to the people.
Click here to see the site for the guild I am in with my friends. The website has some other stories by myself and others. I think I'll link it on the sidebar too. Cuz I wanna.
Also, check this out if you wanna read about the warcraft storyline. Really good stuff.Labels: fiction, games |

blog beta v0.1 |
first post! woot!
Hello, this is my blog. I will be putting some stuff here. I will list some of this stuff.
- Anime stuff. If anime could sustain life, I would be immortal. Maybe I am... *ponders on this*
- World of Warcraft stuff. I may breathe more than I play this game, but probably not. Second only to anime, for now. (and like... eating and sleeping, I guess.)
- Anime stuff. Did I say this already? too bad.
- Counter-Strike stuff. maybe.
- Random stuff. Like, whatever. Burger King mints are good.
- Music stuff. Listening to, playing. (I heart classic rock, j-pop, and playing my Rickenbacher bass. Her name is Vespa. Drums too, sometimes.)
- Gaming stuff. Soon, I'll be back in downers grove, illinois. Hometown excitement. Anyways, much exalted and dungeons & dragons will ensue.
- Jimmy stuff. I will be living with Jimmy again, and there will always be something he's doing that's worth a good laugh. or a gasp. or a painful stab in the throat.
- Anime stuff. choke on it.
- Movies and sci-fi stuff. Firefly and Battlestar Galactica anyone? hawt. and star wars, duh.
- Possibly, possibly work stuff. Though I can't imagine this being very entertaining.
- Other friend stuff. Andy; where's Todd?; Josh and the GF; poke; the admiral; k8 and mr. sir, Stella and gaming krew.
- ANIME STUFF. god.
List complete. These are in no particular order. If I forgot something, just remember, this is beta. Labels: internet, life |
